Welcome to the SkiDVD competitions page.
Over the course of the next season we are running several competitions.
These include:
The first snow of the season.
Photo competition.
Video competition.

The first snow of the season is something we all look forward to. We have two webcams in Borovets sited on the chalet Iskar, which will be refreshing every minute or so. Having such up to date pictures, means that we should be the first webcams in the world to see the snow start falling.
Entering the competition is easy. Go to the Borovets webcam page, and keep your eyes peeled. As soon as you see snow, all you have to do is right click your mouse on the picture, and select "email picture". Keep the original size, and send it to admin@skidvd.co.uk.
The first three winners will each recieve a SkiDVD polo shirt.
The picture must be actually showing the snow starting to cover the ground, not just one random flake flying past the camera. We will judge the winners, and make an announcement as soon as the we have the results.

The photo competition will be a monthly event. We know that some of you can and have taken some excellent photos while on your skiing/boarding holidays. We would like to see them, and we're sure others would as well.
The pictures can be of absolutely anything scenic, funny, spectacular, it doesn't matter. You can simply E-mail the pictures through to us, although it would be better if you joined our forum to announce your entry. The photographs will be posted on our forum, and the forum members will vote on a winner (even more reason to sign up). There will be three prizes of £20 for the first prize, £10 for second and £5 for third. Alternatively, the winners will receive a SkiDVD fleece, polo shirt, or hat. Just let us know which prize you would like, and your size if necessary.
There will also be an end of season grand prize. All entrants will go into the vote for this.

The video competition. Because it can take a long time to edit video, the video competition will run for the whole season. Once again, as with the photo competition, it doesn't need to be exclusively skiing/snowboarding. Anything that grabs our attention will do. We will award our DVD's as prizes for anything that we all like as we go through the season. We know that some people have difficulty creating videos, and for that reason we are willing to help. Anyone who needs help or advice, just ask on our discussion board or E-mail admin@skidvd.co.uk

Once we have all the entrants, it will be put to a vote by our forum members.
The prize for this competition will be worth winning !

Some conditions
You must own the copyright to any material sent to us. We will not accept pictures found on the internet, or "from a friend". By submitting any material to SkiDVD, you grant us full rights to use the material as we please without royalties or favour. This will include anything produced by SkiDVD. Where your material is used, full credits to you will be included.
We reserve the right to reject any material without reason.
Our decision on the results of these competitions are final, and we will not enter into correspondence about them.
