Earlybird transfers is owned and operated by SteveC, an Englishman, keen skier, and resident in Bansko. Taking an early retirement, and seeking an easier life, Steve decided a move to bansko, along with a nice little job to keep him busy, would be just the ticket. Realising that he would be needing a minibus to ferry his friends back and fro from the airports, it seemed logical to offer this as a service to others as well. Now being a keen skier, Steve likes to get onto the slopes as much as the rest of us, and his knowledge of the area, along with the advice he provides, is of great value to those arriving for the first time.
Upon your arrival at the airport, you will be met right outside the arrivals hall, and whisked to one of his vehicles. Your luggage will usually be stored in a secure trailer being towed by the vehicle, allowing you ample room to spread out and relax. The vehicles come equipped with a fridge for a complimentary drink, and multi screen DVD players, as well as the usual comforts. A good selection of DVD's are available to keep the kids amused, or give you some details of the places you are going to stay. If you have any other requests, simply discuss them with Steve before you book. There aren't many things that can't be catered for!
Steve will also be offering a selection of other services, from a simple ride up the mountain to avoid the gondola queue, to a days excursion to the nearby Dobrinishte. It is about £5 for a days lift pass, and along with Steve's advice, it will provide an exciting day away from the crowds. All earlybird's vehicles are maintained to UK standards, including the often overlooked mandatory snow tyres and chains. You won't be getting stuck, in the snow you should be enjoying !
